Welcome to the Devon Mental Health Alliance newsletter. This month’s edition has a focus on making connections and networking, with multiple opportunities for organisations to take part in new and exciting events.

There are still a few places available for the first meeting of the Devon, Plymouth & Torbay VCSE Assembly Mental Health Hub. This event is being held on Wednesday 17 May 2023 from 10:00am — 1:30pm at the Mercure Exeter Rougemont Hotel and will include a buffet lunch.

The VCSE Assembly is a new, open collective bringing together independent charities and community-led organisations across the county. The Mental Health Hub will serve as a forum for everyone involved in promoting mental wellbeing across the county. You can sign up below:

Our Community Development Leads in Plymouth are inviting individuals and organisations across Plymouth to attend an upcoming community listening event concerning the relaunch of the Plymouth Mental Health Network as the new Plymouth Mental Health Collective (PMHC). The event will feature a range of speakers from various organisations involved in mental health service delivery locally covering a host of topics. You can sign up below:

In the Eastern locality, our Community Development Leads — partnering with Involve in Mid and West Devon, Devon Communities Together, and the Devon Wellbeing Hub — recently organised a day for social prescribers in Mid Devon and Exeter to come together and think about their own wellbeing and working more sustainably. And finally, an update on the Alliance Innovation Fund, which has provided grants of up to £800 to VCSE organisations delivering innovative support to improve mental wellbeing across Devon.
